Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions overnight

Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions overnight

During the night of 1 July and in the morning, Russian troops attacked a number of regions in Ukraine. There have been fatalities and injuries, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

Zaporizhzhia Region

On the night of 1 July, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. A woman was injured and is receiving medical treatment.

The previous evening, on 30 June, the Russians dropped seven guided bombs on Zaporizhzhia over the course of an hour and a half.

Two people were killed in the air strikes — a 62-year-old and a 45-year-old man.

A further 15 city residents, aged between 47 and 87, were injured. The casualties were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, concussions and other injuries. A 76-year-old woman was hospitalised in a serious condition.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Overnight, Russian forces attacked five petrol stations in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

A 43-year-old woman was killed in the attacks. Three other people were injured.

Among the injured was a 35-year-old pregnant woman, who was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition. Two other women, aged 49 and 71, are receiving outpatient treatment.

Equipment at the petrol stations was damaged, and fires broke out, which were subsequently extinguished.

Since the evening, Russian troops have also attacked three districts in the region more than 20 times using drones and artillery.

The communities of Dnipro, Petrykivka and Slobozhans’ka were targeted.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian, Mykolaivska, Shakhtarska, Vasylkivska and Petropavlivska communities.

Businesses, a cultural centre, an administrative building, a memorial, a secondary school, shops and a petrol station were damaged.

In the Nikopol district, Nikopol and the Pokrovska community came under fire.

Kherson region

At around 07:00 on the morning of 1 July, Russian forces attacked a minibus with a drone in the Central District of Kherson.

Two people were killed in the strike.

The number of casualties has risen to seven. A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with concussion, blast injuries and a closed head injury.

Over the past 24 hours, one person was killed and seven others were injured in the Kherson region as a result of Russian attacks.

Two high-rise blocks, 12 private houses, business premises, a gas pipeline, outbuildings and private cars were damaged.

Eleven people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.

Mykolaiv region

On the night of 1 July and in the morning, Russian troops attacked the Mykolaiv region using Shahed-type drones.

In Snigurivka, the attack caused a fire at a DIY store.

In Nova Odesa, a warehouse was damaged.

No one was injured.

On 30 June, Russian troops also launched four attacks using FPV drones on the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. No one was injured.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops wounded seven residents of the Donetsk region.

Eleven people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.
