Zelenskyy confirmed that the oil refinery in Ufa had been struck again
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that an oil refinery in Ufa, Russia, has been struck again.
According to the head of state, this is the second time that Ukrainian long-range strikes have hit this facility.
“For the second time, our retaliatory strikes in response to Russia’s prolongation of the war have reached the oil refinery in Ufa, one of Russia’s largest producers of lubricants. It is located more than 1,300 kilometres from the front line,” Zelenskyy said.
The President also reported that a strategic facility belonging to the Russian military-industrial complex in the Penza region had been struck.
According to him, this is a facility involved in the development and manufacture of components for missile weapons used to strike Ukrainian cities and communities.
“In the Penza region, our weapons struck a strategic facility belonging to the Russian military-industrial complex, which is involved in the development and manufacture of components for missile weapons that the occupiers are using to strike our cities and communities. The target is located approximately 600 kilometres from the front line,” the President noted.
Zelenskyy emphasised that the plan to deploy Ukrainian long-range weapons is being carried out on a daily basis.
“Peace is needed, and this is precisely what the Russian leadership must realise. Russia must end its war. And the Russian leadership has every opportunity to do so,” said the Head of State.
The President also thanked the Ukrainian military for ensuring the long-range precision of the strikes.
