Tyson Fury is set to face Mariusz Wach in Thailand
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has learnt the name of his next opponent. The 37-year-old Briton is set to face 46-year-old Polish boxer Mariusz Wach.
The bout between Fury and Wacha will take place on 24 July at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Thailand.
For Tyson Fury, this bout is set to be a stepping stone towards his anticipated fight with fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua.
Fury and Joshua have previously signed a contract for a bout scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The exact date and venue of the fight will be announced at a later date.
Anthony Joshua will fight his next bout on 25 July in Riyadh, where he will face Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga.
On 12 April, Tyson Fury returned to the ring and defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision.
Mariusz Wach last stepped into the ring in March. On that occasion, he lost by unanimous decision to the Ukrainian Viktor Vykhrist. In 2012, the Polish boxer fought for the world title but lost to Wladimir Klitschko.
