Following the Russian attack, the pharmaceutical company ‘Darnitsa’ continues to operate as normal and has no plans to cut back on the production of medicines. The company has stated that reports of a possible medicines shortage, which have begun to circulate on social media, are untrue.

This has been reported by the company’s press office.

Darnitsa emphasised that even after the attack, the plant did not cease operations, and the production and dispatch of medicines are continuing as normal.

“We are continuing to produce medicines; we have not halted production. We are also continuing to supply medicines both to Ukrainians and for export. There will be no shortage of medicines,” the company stated.

The company also reported that there were no fatalities or injuries among staff as a result of the Russian shelling.

Kateryna Zagoriy, a member of the company’s strategic council, reported that the preliminary estimate of material damage amounts to tens of millions of hryvnias.

At the same time, the company is deliberately not disclosing exactly which facilities were damaged, citing security concerns and the need to protect critical infrastructure.

‘Darnitsa’ is one of the largest manufacturers of medicines in Ukraine. The company supplies the Ukrainian market with hundreds of different medicines – ranging from painkillers and cardiovascular drugs to antibiotics and treatments for chronic conditions.
