Russia has attacked a number of regions in Ukraine; there have been fatalities and dozens of people have been injured

Over the past 24 hours and on the morning of 3 July, Russian forces attacked several regions of Ukraine using drones, missiles and artillery. The strikes have resulted in fatalities, dozens of injuries and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian forces have attacked the region more than ten times using drones, missiles and artillery. In Kryvyi Rih, a business, educational establishments, a shop, blocks of flats and cars have been damaged. Seven people were injured. Two women, aged 45 and 68, were hospitalised with moderate injuries; the others are receiving outpatient treatment.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Shakhtarska community came under attack. A 22-year-old woman and two men, aged 33 and 49, were taken to hospital. Their condition is described as moderate. In the Kam’yanske district, a petrol station and a car were damaged. In the Nikopol district, attacks were recorded in the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Myrivka and Pokrovsk. A fire broke out, damaging a residential building and outbuildings. Also, in the Sofiivska community of the Kryvyi Rih district, one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a strike on a petrol station.

Kherson Region

In the Kherson region, Russian forces attacked 46 settlements over the past 24 hours using drones and artillery. As a result of the strikes, two people were killed and a further 16 were injured. Thirteen people were evacuated from liberated communities.

Zaporizhzhia region

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 880 strikes on 62 settlements over the past 24 hours. As a result of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, 11 people were injured, including four children. There were also 171 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.

Sumy Region

In the Sumy region, the Russian army attacked settlements in the region nearly 110 times. Five people were killed and a further 34 were injured over the past 24 hours. In the Romny community, a strike drone hit a block of flats. A major fire broke out. Two women, an elderly man and a child under the age of two were killed. Three more men were injured.

Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv region, six people, including three children, were injured as a result of a drone attack on Lozova. A 10-year-old girl was hospitalised. The other victims suffered acute stress reactions. The strike on a private property caused damage and a fire. A residential building and two cars were ablaze. Rescue workers freed and rescued five people, including two children.

Donetsk region

In the Donetsk region, four people were killed and a further 13 were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian attacks. Separately, in Sloviansk, at around 03:30, an enemy strike was recorded on four locations in different parts of the city. At least ten private houses, three high-rise blocks and cars were damaged. A man born in 1954 was killed. Part of the community was left without electricity and water supplies.

Chernihiv Oblast

In the Chernihiv region, a 32-year-old petrol station attendant was injured as a result of Russian attacks. In the villages of the Sribne community, a house, a garage and a petrol station were damaged. In Ripky, a strike was recorded at a petrol station. In Pryluky, a house was damaged. In the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a drone struck a private yard. In Snovsk, a grain harvest caught fire following a strike on a grain silo. After midnight, a rail wagon carrying timber belonging to one of the enterprises in the Dobryanska community was also hit.
