Russia has attacked a number of regions in Ukraine using drones, aerial bombs and artillery; there have been fatalities and dozens of people have been injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have continued their intensive attacks on several regions of Ukraine. The Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Donetsk regions have come under attack.

Sumy Region

Russian forces continue to attack the Sumy region with strike drones. On the evening of 24 June, attacks on Sumy continued unabated. Air defence forces destroyed a significant number of enemy drones as they approached the city.

A 13-year-old boy was injured when one of the drones was shot down. He received medical treatment and his life is not in danger. Falling debris damaged buildings, shattered windows and damaged several cars. Damage was also reported at an industrial site.

On the morning of 25 June, a Russian drone struck a petrol station in Sumy, causing a fire. Whilst extinguishing the blaze, rescue workers were forced to suspend their efforts several times due to the threat of further strikes.

At least four people were injured as a result of the morning attack. Among them was a 66-year-old man who sustained injuries in a residential area on the outskirts of the city, as well as a woman who was hospitalised. The fire caused significant damage to the infrastructure of a petrol station in the Zarichny district.

In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 47 strikes on 34 settlements in the Sumy region. Twenty people were injured, including four children.

In the Sumy community, men aged 23, 34, 39, 42, 43 and 64, a 55-year-old woman, and two boys aged 13 and 6 were injured. In the Konotop community, women aged 31, 39, 45, 50 and 69, men aged 64 and 73, and an 11-year-old boy were injured. In the Putivl community, a 15-year-old boy was injured; in the Romny community, a 58-year-old woman was injured; and in the Kyrykivka community, a 70-year-old man was injured when a drone struck his house.

Poltava region

On the night of 25 June, a fire broke out at an industrial site in the Poltava region following an attack by Russian drones.

Units from the State Emergency Service arrived promptly at the scene and extinguished the blaze. No reports of fatalities or injuries have been received.

Zaporizhzhia Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers carried out 973 strikes on 49 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

As a result of the attacks, two people were killed and a further 22 were injured. Zaporizhzhia city, as well as Zaporizhzhia and Polohiv districts, were targeted.

There were 103 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Since the evening of 24 June, Russian troops have attacked five districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times using drones, artillery and guided aerial bombs.

In the Nikopol district, the enemy shelled the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk and Pokrovsk. A petrol station was damaged.

In the Zelenodolsk community of the Kryvyi Rih district, an infrastructure facility was damaged.

In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out in a warehouse containing municipal equipment. Around 10 vehicles were damaged or destroyed.

Several fires broke out in Pavlohrad. A college building, a hall of residence, a health and leisure centre and cars were damaged.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Vasylkivska and Dubovykivska communities came under attack. A cultural centre was on fire, and 12 private houses and a farm building were damaged.

According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, two people were killed and a further 16 were injured as a result of Russian strikes in the Kherson region.

Six multi-storey buildings and nine private homes were damaged, along with a mobile phone mast, a petrol station, office premises, agricultural machinery and private cars.

Sixteen people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.

Donetsk region

Over the past 24 hours, seven people were injured as a result of Russian shelling in the Donetsk region.

Six people were injured in Druzhkivka, and another person was injured in Samiilivka.
