Russia has attacked nine regions of Ukraine; there have been fatalities and dozens of casualties

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched a massive attack on a number of regions in Ukraine using drones, artillery and aircraft. The regions of Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava have come under attack.

Zaporizhzhia Region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 1,021 strikes on 38 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Region. As a result of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Polohiv districts, one person was killed and a further 12 were injured. There were 135 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.

Poltava region
On the night of 24 June, Russian drones attacked an industrial facility in the Poltava district. The strike caused a fire, which was extinguished by the emergency services. No one was injured.

Kherson region
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and seven others were injured as a result of Russian attacks over the past 24 hours. Three high-rise blocks, 15 private homes, a resilience centre, a mobile phone mast, an agricultural enterprise and private cars were damaged.

Sumy Region
In the Sumy region, four people were injured as a result of Russian attacks. In the Sumy community, two men aged 48 and 56 were injured by a drone strike.

A 16-year-old boy, who was injured during a drone attack on 17 June in the Sumy community, also sought medical attention. Another casualty, a 56-year-old woman, sought help after a Russian drone struck a residential building in the Seredyna-Budsk community on 22 June.

In the Bilopil community, Russian troops attacked a police patrol car whilst it was on duty. The vehicle was completely burnt out. Residential buildings, vehicles and civilian infrastructure have been damaged in various communities across the region.

Separately, the Russians attacked Hlukhiv during the night. Two drones struck the grounds of a local bakery whilst finished products were being loaded. No one was injured. The factory building and vehicles were damaged.

Donetsk Oblast
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops wounded six residents of Donetsk Oblast. All the casualties were reported in Druzhkivka.

Dnipropetrovsk region
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones on nearly 20 occasions. Two people were injured.

In the Nikopol district, the Russians struck the communities of Nikopol, Pokrovsk and Marganetsk. Infrastructure, an administrative building and a minibus were damaged.

In the Pavlohrad district, Pavlohrad and the Mezhyrichka community came under attack. A block of flats and a private house were damaged.

In the Yavornytska community of the Synelnykivskyi district, a petrol station, cars and a café were damaged.

Kharkiv Oblast
: Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 18 settlements in the oblast. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the strikes.

At around 04:55, a Russian drone, believed to be of the ‘Molniya’ type, struck the site of an unfinished block of flats in the Industrial District of Kharkiv.

At around 01:00, a residential building and cars were damaged in the Osnovyanskyi district of Kharkiv as a result of a drone attack. Two women, aged 54 and 32, suffered acute stress reactions.

At approximately 02:50, a Russian drone, believed to be of the ‘Geran-2’ type, attacked Balakliya in the Izium district. A 56-year-old woman was killed as a result of the strike on a residential area. Her 21-year-old daughter suffered an acute stress reaction. Residential buildings and a shop were damaged.

Residents of other settlements in the region were also affected. In Tsupivka, a 58-year-old man was injured; in Bugaivka, a 79-year-old man was injured; in Borova, a 57-year-old man was injured; in Pechenigi, a 54-year-old man was injured, and in Shevchenkove, a 68-year-old woman was injured.
