Russia has attacked six districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region; 26 people have been injured

On the night of 18 May, Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles, drones, artillery and aerial bombs. Twenty-six people were injured, including two children in Dnipro.

Russian troops attacked six districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region during the night of 18 May. According to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, 26 people were injured.

In Dnipro, a residential area was hit following a rocket strike. Several fires broke out, and people were trapped in one of the buildings. Emergency services were working at the scene.

The number of casualties in the city has risen to 18. Among them are a 2-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, who are receiving outpatient treatment. Eight people have been hospitalised, comprising four women and four men. Medical staff assess their condition as moderate.

Rescue workers also extinguished a fire on the roof of a 24-storey building in Dnipro. According to the Regional State Administration, there were no casualties in this building.

In the city, apartment blocks and private houses, a religious institution, a university, a business and cars have been damaged.

In the Dniprovskyi district, Russian troops struck a warehouse where pyrotechnic products were stored. A fire broke out there. Private homes and cars were also damaged in the area. Two women were injured; one of them, aged 76, was hospitalised.

In the Samarivskyi district, a house, an administrative building and a car were on fire. An agricultural firm was damaged.

In Kryvyi Rih, a business and infrastructure were destroyed. Two men, aged 36 and 40, were injured and hospitalised with moderate injuries.

In the Kam’yans’kyi district, homes and cars were damaged. A 74-year-old woman was injured; she will receive outpatient treatment.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, houses were damaged. A 65-year-old man was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Chervonohryhorivka, Myrivka, Pokrovka and Marganets were hit. A petrol station was damaged. Two women, aged 32 and 46, were injured and will receive outpatient treatment.
