Searches are being carried out at the Uzhhorod Trade and Commercial Centre: Glagola reported the “sale of summonses”
This was reported by journalist Vitaliy Glagola on his Telegram channel.
In Uzhhorod, the SBU and the police are conducting searches at the Uzhhorod District Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support.
According to journalist Vitaliy Glagola, the investigations are taking place not only at the military registration and enlistment office itself, but also at the home of the acting head of the Uzhhorod District Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support, Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Myhaleiko.
Also, according to his information, searches are being carried out at the homes of three other individuals whom law enforcement are investigating in connection with this case.
Preliminary charges have already been served on two suspects.
One of them, according to Glagola, is a former employee of the Uzhhorod Military Registration and Enlistment Office. He is described as a possible intermediary between clients and the office.
What is the case about?
According to the journalist’s preliminary information, law enforcement are investigating a possible scheme involving the “sale of conscription notices”.
This refers to a situation where men could allegedly pay to have their Uzhhorod Military Registration and Enlistment Office summonses issued not for the nearest date, but for a month or more in advance.
According to the version reported by Glagola, a person would receive a summons for a future date and effectively had time before reporting to the Military Registration and Enlistment Office.
The journalist describes this as a possible scheme involving regular payments for such “calendar convenience”.
Searches and investigative activities are currently underway.
Glagola reported that it is awaiting further details regarding the role of each of the individuals involved, as well as information on whether charges will be brought against the management of the Uzhhorod Territorial Centre for Conscription and under which article.
There are no official statements from the SBU, the police, or the Uzhhorod Regional Territorial Centre for Conscription and Military Service regarding this case in the text provided.
