The Ministry of Education has updated the curriculum for the subject "Defense of Ukraine"

In schools, students will learn to operate FPV drones — this is part of the updated curriculum for the subject "Defense of Ukraine." The Ministry of Education has approved a new list of equipment for practical training, which includes drone simulators, first aid trainers, tactical safety gear, and multimedia complexes, reports the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has officially approved the updated list of educational equipment for the course "Defense of Ukraine." For the first time, it includes simulators for controlling FPV drones with computers — this will allow students to acquire skills previously available only to military professionals.

These simulators are one of the key elements of the new program, which is focused on practical training of students for real challenges in security, defense, and emergency situations. Interactive trainers, tablets, and multimedia equipment for studying modern military and civilian technologies will be installed in classrooms.

The list also includes:

  • mannequins for resuscitation and first aid training,
  • tourniquets and bleeding control devices,
  • tactical medicine and training simulators for wound management,
  • helmets, body armor, certified gas masks, and chemical protection gear,
  • radios for mastering communication basics,
  • training track elements for tactical navigation.

According to the Ministry of Education and Science, the updated equipment will help students not only acquire basic skills in tactical medicine and drone operation but also develop critical thinking, resilience to informational influence, and readiness to act in emergency situations.
