The NBU has ordered ‘Ukrposhta’ to remove Smiliansky from the company’s management
Ihor Smilianskyi, Chief Executive of JSC ‘Ukrposhta’, has stated that he continues to carry out his duties and that the company is operating as normal. This was his response to reports circulating in recent days regarding the company’s management.

Ihor Smiliansky announced this on his official Telegram channel.

Ihor Smilianskyi, Chief Executive of JSC ‘Ukrposhta’, stated that he continues to carry out his duties in accordance with current legislation.

According to him, the company itself is also operating as normal, taking into account the security situation, the consequences of Russian shelling and weather conditions.

“With regard to the company’s activities or its management, please rely solely on official statements from JSC ‘Ukrposhta’,” Smiliansky emphasised.

What else did the head of “Ukrposhta” say?

In his post, Smiliansky thanked everyone who had supported him in recent days.

He also addressed his critics, stating that today was “not their day”, and expressed the view that the funds which, he said, were being spent on paid-for publications and bots would be better directed towards the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the head of Ukrposhta posted a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt with the English slogan: ‘It’s not over when you lose. It’s over when you quit’.

As of the time of publication, there have been no official announcements regarding a change in the management of JSC ‘Ukrposhta’.

As reported by ThePublic, the National Bank of Ukraine has determined that Igor Smiliansky, the CEO of Ukrposhta, does not meet the professional suitability requirements for the head of a financial payment services provider. The regulator has ordered the company to remove him from management and appoint a new head.
