Joint Ukraine–Norway Drones: Production Agreement Signed
As ThePublic.info reports, citing the official statement of Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine and Norway have agreed to launch joint production of Ukrainian drones. The corresponding document was signed during a meeting with Norway’s Defence Minister, Tore Sandvik.
“Ukraine and Norway will jointly produce Ukrainian drones. This is an important step that will help scale our capabilities and strengthen Ukraine’s defense,” Shmyhal stated.
According to him, the next stage involves the rapid deployment of a pilot production line in 2026, followed by a gradual expansion of manufacturing capacities. Ukraine will share its expertise and technological developments with Norway, while in return it will gain a strong production base to supply Ukrainian forces with modern drones. Additionally, scientific research and engineering cooperation with leading Norwegian institutions is expected.
The minister thanked Norway for its support and emphasized:
“This project is an example of the cooperation we are building with our partners — collaboration that strengthens the defense capabilities of all countries in the free world.”
