The US confirms that around a third of Iran’s missile arsenal has been destroyed
The United States can confirm with certainty that around a third of Iran’s missile arsenal has been destroyed. A further third remains in doubt, although the strikes may have damaged or buried these missiles in underground facilities, according to Reuters.
It is estimated that most of the missiles have either been destroyed or are inaccessible, but Iran retains a significant stockpile and could rebuild part of its arsenal once hostilities have ended.
These figures differ from President Donald Trump’s statement that Iran has very few missiles left. At the same time, the US acknowledges the risk posed by the remaining missiles and drones.
A Pentagon spokesperson stated that the number of Iranian attacks has decreased by approximately 90 per cent. Furthermore, over 66 per cent of Iran’s production facilities for manufacturing missiles and drones have been damaged or destroyed.
Despite this, Iran continues to use its weapons. In particular, according to the Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, 15 ballistic missiles and 11 drones were launched in a single day.
