The USA promised Europe support for peacekeepers in Ukraine
According to Financial Times, during security guarantees discussions for Ukraine, U.S. representatives told European counterparts that they are ready to provide "strategic assets".
Specifically, this includes intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) assets, command and control systems, as well as air defense systems to support any deployment of European forces in Ukraine.
As FT sources clarify, for post-war security guarantees, the U.S. may provide its own aircraft, logistics, and ground radars, "which will support and ensure a European no-fly zone and air shield" for Ukraine.
The publication also states that the U.S. proposal could still be canceled, and its implementation depends on the willingness of European countries to deploy "tens of thousands" of troops in Ukraine.
