Emergency power cuts in the Sumy region
Emergency power cuts have been introduced in the Sumy region. This is due to the aftermath of Russian shelling and the extreme heatwave that has hit Ukraine.

This has been reported by Sumyoblenergo JSC.

The reason is the impact of Russian shelling and the extreme heatwave that has hit Ukraine.

All 10 groups will be subject to power cuts, according to the energy company.

“On the instructions of NEC ‘Ukrenergo’, emergency power cut schedules for consumer groups 1–10 were introduced in the Sumy region at 11:12,” the statement reads.

However, the energy company did not specify an estimated timeframe for the restoration of power supply.

The regional power company also noted that they are working to restore power to people’s homes as quickly as possible.

As a reminder, today, 30 June, power cut schedules are in force across all regions of Ukraine. This is due to the abnormal heatwave.
