Gas prices from 1 May: what will change for Ukrainians
This is reported by First Business
The new gas season officially begins in Ukraine on 1 May. Suppliers are setting prices within the framework of annual tariff plans, which will remain in force until 30 April 2027.
Key figures: Naftogaz and others
For the vast majority of domestic consumers (around 98% of households) who receive gas from the Naftogaz of Ukraine Group, there will be no changes. The company has confirmed that the price will remain at 7.96 UAH per cubic metre (including VAT).
Other companies in the market offer annual tariffs ranging from 7.70 to 9.99 UAH per cubic metre. It is worth noting that during the period of martial law and for six months following its conclusion, a moratorium on price increases for gas, heating and hot water for the population is in force in Ukraine.
