Deputy Minister of Justice Olena Ferens has been caught up in a high-profile scandal
Deputy Minister of Justice Olena Ferens shared a video by a Russian blogger on her Instagram page, featuring a Russian-language song and a shot of the Russian flag. The post subsequently sparked discussion on social media and in the press.

This was reported by “Telegraf”. Officially, Olena Ferens was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice on 1 April 2025 by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to media reports, Olena Ferens reposted a video by a Russian blogger on her Instagram page.

The report notes that this was not a ‘Story’, which disappears after 24 hours, but a post on her page.

According to the publication, the video features a Russian-language song about a woman’s fate. A Russian flag was also spotted in the frame.

The post attracted attention due to Ferens’s position at the Ministry of Justice and the fact that the Russian content was shared during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

The media also noted that the blogger’s video had originally been published back in October 2025, whilst the repost appeared in June 2026.

Separately, journalists noted that a Russian clothing brand was among Ferens’s Instagram follows.

Was there an official response?

At the time of publication, there had been no public official response from the Ministry of Justice or from Olena Ferens herself regarding this situation.

Nor is there any information about any personnel decisions or an internal investigation following this incident.
