The electricity supply situation in Sevastopol has deteriorated
This is reported by Korrespondent.net, citing the ‘governor’ of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
What is happening with the electricity supply in Sevastopol
According to Razvozhayev, the system operator has introduced additional power restrictions to balance the Crimean power grid.
He claims that decisions on power cuts are being made in real time, so it is currently impossible to adhere to a pre-determined schedule. It is for this reason that the occupying administration has temporarily abandoned the ‘2 hours with power – 6 hours without’ regime. At present, electricity is being supplied first and foremost to hospitals, pumping stations and other critical infrastructure facilities.
When is the ‘2 on, 6 off’ schedule due to be reinstated?
The occupying authorities state that, once the situation has stabilised, they intend to return to the previous power cut regime. Under this regime, electricity will be supplied for approximately two hours, after which the power will be cut off for approximately six hours. However, no date has yet been given for when this schedule will be reinstated.
