The Main Intelligence Directorate has claimed to have established fire control over the land corridor between Crimea and the Donetsk region
Operators of unmanned aerial vehicle units within the Active Operations Directorate of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continue to block the ‘Crimea–Donetsk’ land corridor and destroy Russian military equipment in rear areas.
The Main Intelligence Directorate reported that sections of the route between the temporarily occupied towns of Berdiansk, Melitopol and Dzhankoy are under fire control by Ukrainian military intelligence operators.
A video released shows Russian fuel tankers, lorries and a tractor being hit.
The intelligence service noted that some of the loitering munitions and Shark-M reconnaissance systems, which are used to strike enemy logistics in the Zaporizhzhia sector, were received by crews of the GUR’s Active Operations Department as part of a project by Serhiy Prytula’s ‘Shchely’ charitable foundation.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, stated that due to strikes by the Defence Forces, the land corridor to Crimea, which Russian troops had been using to transport equipment and supplies, had effectively ceased to function.
According to him, the route from Chongar via Melitopol and Berdyansk to Mariupol, which was previously used for journeys to the Sea of Azov and Crimea, has now lost its significance for Russian military logistics.
Fedorov emphasised that Russian troops cannot fully utilise this route for the transfer of equipment and supplies.
He also stated that there would be no holiday season on the temporarily occupied coast of the Sea of Azov.
Separately, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration drew attention to the state of the energy and utilities infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories. According to him, due to a shortage of specialists who have left the occupied areas, the Russian authorities are unable to ensure a stable supply of electricity and water.
Fedorov noted that residents of Berdiansk, Melitopol, Energodar, Tokmak and Molochansk are facing constant interruptions in electricity and water supplies.
