US President Donald Trump said that the American military destroyed nine Iranian ships and continues its operation against the Iranian fleet. According to him, strikes were also carried out on the headquarters of the Iranian Navy.

US President Donald Trump said that the American military destroyed and sank nine Iranian military ships and continues to operate against the rest of Iran's fleet.

In a post on Truth Social, he wrote "I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk 9 Iranian military ships, some of which were relatively large and important. We are pursuing the rest. They will also soon be at the bottom of the sea! In another attack, we have largely destroyed their naval headquarters. Other than that, their fleet is doing very well!"

A representative of the US Department of Defence confirmed the president's statement.

According to Reuters, the Pentagon has intensified its bombing of Iranian military targets. B-2 strategic bombers were deployed to strike fortified underground missile facilities, flying in from the US and dropping 2,000-pound bombs.

Trump also said that the strikes were carried out on the Iranian Navy headquarters, which, according to him, was largely destroyed.

The Iranian military responded with hundreds of missile and drone attacks. On Sunday, the US Central Command confirmed the death of three American servicemen during the fighting, with five others seriously wounded.

The day before, Iranian naval vessels broadcast a message on an emergency radio channel warning commercial vessels of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Over the past 24 hours, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility for attacks on commercial vessels and tankers.

According to open ship tracking services, commercial shipping near the strait has been disrupted, with many ships anchoring at sea. At the same time, a representative of the US Department of Defence said that some ships continue to pass through the strait.

On Sunday, US Central Command reported that during Operation Epic Fury, an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette was sunk near the pier in Chabahar in southern Iran.

The CENTCOM statement said, "As the president said, members of the Iranian armed forces, Quds Force and police must lay down their weapons. Abandon ship."

Trump declared his intention to completely destroy the Iranian fleet, adding that the remaining ships "will soon be at the bottom of the sea" and repeating the phrase, "Besides, their fleet is doing very well!"
