Trump stated that he is not currently considering transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine
He told journalists on board Air Force One, reports ThePublic.info based on the White House YouTube channel.
«No, at least not now», - responded Trump to the question of whether the possibility of transferring "Tomahawks" to Ukraine is being discussed in his administration. He added that there could be changes on this issue, but for now his answer is «no».
The American leader was also asked what would be the final straw for him in the unwillingness of Russian ruler Putin to end the war in Ukraine, after which Washington might resort to strong pressure on Moscow.
«There will be no final straw. Sometimes parties need to fight it out, and they do. For Putin, this is a hard war, he has lost many soldiers, possibly a million. But for Ukraine, ongoing hostilities are also difficult», - he said.
Commenting on the European Union's plans to expand the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, Trump stated that it is a matter for Europeans.
«I have no information about what is happening on this issue. It is a matter for Europeans and Russians», - said the US president.
