A square has been unveiled in Lviv, named in honour of the late former Speaker of Parliament, Andriy Parubiy.

This was announced by Lviv’s mayor, Andriy Sadovyi.

According to him, at a session of the city council, councillors supported the decision to rename a section of Vynnychenko Street — from Prosvita to Lychakivska.

“Now the monument to Vyacheslav Chornovil, the building of the regional administration and the regional council, where Andriy served as a councillor for several terms, will be located at Hero of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy Square,” noted Sadovyi.

Earlier, the SBU reported that the suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy was acting on the instructions of the Russian special services.
