An archive photo of Péter Mádár with an MP from Zakarpattia has surfaced online
Roland Zeber posted the relevant message on Facebook.
According to Zeber, he took the photo with Péter Magyar two years ago and promised at the time to publish it only after the politician had become head of the Hungarian government.
“You replied at the time: ‘God willing, may it be so.’ And today is a historic day,” wrote the MP.
“Ukraine wants to see Hungary as a partner”
In his message, Tseber wished the new Hungarian Prime Minister strength, wisdom and fortitude, and expressed his hope for improved relations between the two countries. He emphasised that Ukraine is not interested in conflicts or mutual grievances, but in partnership and open dialogue.
“We want there to be no conflicts, no insults and no artificial barriers between Ukraine and Hungary, but mutual respect, dialogue and tangible results for the people,” noted Tseber.
The MP also stated that Ukraine is ready for constructive cooperation with Hungary’s new political leadership and looks forward to good-neighbourly relations. In his post, he specifically emphasised that Ukrainians and Hungarians are united by a shared history, a common border and a European future.
