New contacts with the US have been announced in Moscow

Moscow speaks of a new phase in relations with the US
According to Ushakov, there are ongoing telephone contacts between Russia and the US, and Washington is reportedly not refusing to participate in the negotiation process. He suggested that US special representatives Steve Witkoff and Kushner may visit the Russian capital again.
“Sooner or later, I think quite soon, our regular colleagues Steve Witkoff and Kushner will come to Moscow. We will continue our dialogue with them,” Ushakov said.
The Kremlin has once again set out its demands on Ukraine
The Kremlin representative once again reiterated Moscow’s position on possible negotiations. According to him, Russia considers the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas to be a prerequisite for “fruitful dialogue”. Ushakov also claims that Kyiv refuses to agree to such conditions due to the support of its European allies. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to maintain contact with international partners and mediators, attempting to keep the diplomatic track open alongside military operations. Ihor Chalenko, head of the Centre for Analysis and Strategies, believes that in the absence of real progress in the negotiations, new conditions for dialogue may emerge after the conclusion of the Russian army’s spring-summer campaign.
