This is reported by ThePublic.info citing the agency AFP.
Police are holding two of the five suspects who may have robbed the Louvre in Paris. The case has been forwarded to court.
Specifically, a 38-year-old woman is accused of theft and involvement in organizing a criminal group; she is currently in custody. Another suspect is a 37-year-old man. Three other individuals, who may also be involved in the crime, were released for unknown reasons.
Last week, law enforcement also arrested two men who may have been part of the gang of robbers — these are men aged 34 and 39. The latter previously had convictions for theft with aggravating circumstances in 2008 and 2014.
The robbery of the Apollo Gallery in the Louvre took place on October 19. It lasted only 7 minutes — the criminals stole jewelry worth 88 million euros. About a hundred law enforcement officers, including from Germany and Interpol, are involved in the investigation.
