The first egg has been spotted in the nest of storks Hrytsyk and Odarka. The event was confirmed by researcher Iryna Sarazhynska, and over 500 viewers watched it live online.

The first egg in the nest of storks Hrytsyk and Odarka appeared on 13 April, six minutes before midnight. Researcher Iryna Sarazhynska reported this on Facebook.

According to her, this event was eagerly awaited, so over 500 viewers watched the egg’s appearance live and stayed in the chat on the YouTube channel “Stork Hrytsko” almost until morning.

“From today, there are three in the stork’s nest: Hrytsko, Odarka and the egg,” wrote Sarazhynska.

She also noted that on the evening of 15 April, observers will be waiting for another event – the appearance of a second egg.

According to the researcher, the parents carefully prepared the nest, bringing hay, corn husks, grass and twigs to it.

As reported by ThePublic, on 2 April, a new pair of storks formed in Odarka and Hrytsyk’s nest in the village of Lelyaky, Poltava region. As Iryna Sarazhynska reported, the two birds met at 19:04:58. The first bird appeared in the nest as early as 24 March. For ten days, it had been preparing the nest, bringing hay, grass and twigs, but at that stage it was still unknown whether it was a male or a female. It was only after the second bird arrived on 2 April that it became clear that it was the male who had been preparing the nest.
