In Kyiv, a mother was sentenced to 11 years for producing child pornography
In Kyiv, a court sentenced a mother who, together with an accomplice, produced and sold child pornography involving her own minor children on the internet. The woman will spend 11 years behind bars.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the perpetrators set up a home studio where they filmed pornographic photos and videos involving girls aged 8 and 10. They sold the finished content online. The mother involved her underage goddaughter in the crime, who helped her create the illegal content.
Juvenile prosecutors from the Solomyanskyi District Prosecutor's Office proved the guilt of both defendants in court. They were found guilty under Part 4 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (production and distribution of child pornography, as well as coercing minors to participate in the creation of illegal content).
At the court hearing, the women fully admitted their guilt. The mother was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Her accomplice, who was a minor at the time of the crime, received a 5-year prison sentence, but was released on probation for 2 years.
The girls have now been removed from the family. Their grandparents will take care of their upbringing. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators from the Solomyanskyi Police Department in conjunction with Cyber Police officers.
