"У Києві працюють майже 1,4 тисячі Пунктів незламності" - Ігор Клименко
There are currently 1,395 resilience centres operating in Kyiv, 211 of which are aid centres run by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and set up in tents. This was announced by Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
According to him, despite the enemy's attempts to destroy critical infrastructure and exhaust the population with cold weather, the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are working in an enhanced mode to provide assistance to everyone who needs it. The locations of the centres are autonomous, equipped with heaters and electric generators. Visitors can warm up, get hot drinks and basic support. The addresses of the centres are available in the Diya app.
The demand for assistance remains high. Over the past day alone, nearly 9,000 people have turned to the Points of Invincibility, and since they began operating, approximately 174,000 citizens have received assistance. Special attention is being paid to psychological support. Since the beginning of the year, specialists have provided consultations to nearly 34,000 people, as the strikes on infrastructure are accompanied by significant psychological stress.
Almost 990 State Emergency Service rescuers and over 300 units of special equipment are involved in the restoration work in the capital. According to the Hydrometeorological Centre, frosty weather with snow and ice will continue for at least another week, which complicates the work but does not stop it.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasises that all services are coordinating their actions and are ready to increase the number of emergency centres if necessary in order to restore heat to homes as quickly as possible and help residents get through this difficult period.
