On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, a literary and musical event will be held in the Danish capital with the participation of Ukrainian and Danish artists.

On 22 February 2026, Copenhagen will host an evening of solidarity with Ukraine entitled "Ukrainian Voices – Stories of Freedom." The event is being organised by the Ukrainian House in Denmark in collaboration with the Danish Cultural Institute. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

The event will take place in the main hall of Copenhagen's New Theatre (Det Ny Teater) on the eve of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The programme will be in a literary and musical format and will bring together Ukrainian writers and musicians. The organisers note that the event is intended to present the Ukrainian experience of resistance — as a political, moral and existential dimension — and to emphasise freedom of expression and conscience as fundamental values of Ukrainian society.

The evening will feature works by Lesya Ukrainka, Vasyl Stus, Iryna Tsilik, Maksym Kryvtsov, Viktoria Amelina and Artur Dron. Ukrainian artists will perform the texts in the original language, and Danish actors will present them in translation.

The musical programme will consist of compositions by Oleksandr Kozarenko, Oleksandr Rodin, Yuriy Shevchenko and other authors. The event is aimed at a Danish audience interested in the themes of democracy, freedom and moral responsibility in Europe.

The main speaker at the event will be Nobel Peace Prize laureate Oleksandra Matviychuk. The musical part will feature the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyiv Camerata" together with violinist Bohdana Pivnenko. Bogdan Plish will conduct.
