The Ministry of Digital Transformation has stated that there will be no electronic summonses in the “Dii” app
Acting Minister for Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov made this statement in an interview with SPEKA.
Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov stated that the ministry is not considering, developing or planning to launch electronic summonses either in ‘Dii’ or in any of its other products.
“My answer is as clear as possible: no. The Ministry of Digital Transformation is not considering, developing or planning to introduce electronic summonses either in ‘Dii’ or in any of our other products. This is a principled position that remains unchanged,” said Bornyakov.
According to him, “Dii” was created primarily as a convenient service for citizens to interact with the state.
The official explained that if this service were turned into a tool for control, millions of people would cease to trust it.
In the defence sector, as Bornyakov noted, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is focused on assisting the military. This involves simplifying the process of obtaining documents and statuses via a smartphone.
He also cited the development of military projects within the Brave1 cluster and the supply of new technologies to the front line as priorities.
Furthermore, Oleksandr Bornyakov stated that the ministry’s team is not currently discussing a scenario for holding electronic elections after the war ends, as the department has not been tasked with such a mission.
It should be noted that the Kyiv City Military Recruitment Centre and Joint Staff stated that reports of an alleged intensification of mobilisation measures in the capital are untrue. The recruitment centre emphasised that there have been no changes to legislation or regulatory acts concerning mobilisation.
