A hearing was held in the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv in the case of Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who is accused of the murder of Iryna Farion.

Participants in the meeting included Zinchenko's lawyers — Ihor Sulyma and Volodymyr Voronyak, prosecutors — Dmytro Petlyovanyi and Olena Danyliv, and Iryna Farion's daughter Sofia Osoba and her lawyer Nataliya Romanyk, reports ThePublic.info citing Suspilne Lviv. Also present was the accused — Vyacheslav Zinchenko.

Zinchenko's defender Ihor Sulyma filed a motion with the court regarding a change in the order of evidence examination.

"There may be questions if we do not examine the physical evidence immediately, before the experts. Therefore, we would ask to change the order — to start examining the physical evidence that will be necessary, of course not the entire volume," — says Ihor Sulyma.

Farion's family lawyer Nataliya Romanyk asked the court to deny this motion. However, the court granted the defenders' request.

After that, an anonymous witness joined the online session from the premises of the Lychakivskyi District Court. As decided by the court during the previous session, the interrogation was organized in a way to prevent identification.

The anonymous witness stated that he saw a person resembling the accused on July 11, 2024, around 9:50-10:00 in the morning, in a forest strip while walking his dog. The young man was approaching from the Tunnelnaya side towards Malogoloskivska with a bicycle pump and was dressed out of season. He was approximately 20 years old, about 1.70 meters tall, dark-haired. The young man greeted him and asked if the dog was biting. The conversation lasted only a few seconds. After that, he continued on his way.

Vyacheslav Zinchenko asked the witness if the man had glasses on his face. The anonymous witness replied no.

The court adjourned the hearing. The next session will be held on November 11.
