The iREX 2025 event has opened in Japan, bringing together hundreds of robots and start-ups from around the world, ranging from humanoids capable of extinguishing fires to robotic arms with AI for industrial tasks.

In Tokyo, the international exhibition of robots iREX 2025 has begun on December 3, showcasing developments from over 670 companies and research institutes from Japan and other countries. This was reported by The Public citing Reuters

Among the exhibits are humanoid robots that demonstrated the ability to perform extreme tasks. For example, one robot at the Kawasaki Heavy Industries stand extinguished a simulated fire and rescued a toy cat — a scenario illustrating the potential of robots to operate in disaster zones or other hazardous conditions for humans.

Additionally, Techman Robot introduced the High-Speed AI Flying Trigger Inspection system — a robotic technology with artificial intelligence that provides instant product inspection without downtime, promising a revolution in industrial automation.

The exhibition showcases not only industrial robots but also solutions for logistics, warehouse management, and automation, which could address the acute labor shortage in many countries.

iREX 2025 will run until December 6. Many participants and visitors see it as a platform for the future — where humans and machines will work side by side, changing perceptions of work, manufacturing, and safety.
