In Zaporizhia, serial car thieves who stole military vehicles, among others, were exposed.
Zaporizhzhia police officers detained two city residents aged 24 and 25 who are suspected of a series of car thefts and illegal seizure of vehicles. The criminals were exposed during a joint operation by criminal investigation officers, territorial police units and patrol officers, it was reported on 19 January.
At the time of their arrest, the men were towing a stolen car belonging to a Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman. Law enforcement officers established that one of the suspects already had a criminal record for property crimes.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that one of the suspects worked at a service station.
