Ukraine is represented in the contest by LELÉKA with the song “Ridnym”. In the second semi-final, she performed as number 12. She was joined on stage by bandura player Yaroslav Dzhus.
Bulgaria, Norway, Australia, Romania, Malta, Cyprus, Albania, Denmark and the Czech Republic also qualified for the final from the second semi-final.
In the final, they will compete against the participants who qualified from the first semi-final on 12 May. These include Moldova, Sweden, Croatia, Greece, Finland, Israel, Belgium, Lithuania, Poland and Serbia.
The ‘Big Four’ countries – France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom – also automatically qualify for the grand final, as does the winner of the previous contest and the host of ‘Eurovision 2026’ – Austria.
The grand final of “Eurovision 2026” will take place on Saturday, 16 May, in Vienna. According to the contest’s official website, the finalists from the second semi-final will join the participants from the first semi-final and the automatically qualified countries.
As reported by ThePublic, the organisers of Eurovision want to bring back the countries that announced a boycott of the contest due to Israel’s participation. At the same time, they do not plan to exclude Israeli performers from the contest, despite protests, political pressure and disputes surrounding the war in Gaza.
