Ukraine and Russia have lost more than 2 million together - Keith Kellogg
During his speech at the Ronald Reagan National Defence Forum, Kellogg said that negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine were ‘in the home stretch.’ He added that the ‘last 10 metres’ were the hardest, but if two issues were resolved, everything else could ‘fall into place.’ This was reported by The Public, citing a number of American media outlets.
However, according to Kellogg, two key obstacles remain: the status of part of the Donetsk region and the future of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Until these issues are resolved, the overall agreement remains highly uncertain.
Kellogg also noted that the scale of the losses is enormous: according to him, Ukraine and Russia have already lost more than 2 million people. Kellogg also stressed that after many losses on both sides, only peace can end the armed conflict.
At the same time, he did not specify any specific deadlines or formats for resolving the contentious issues, instead calling for intensive diplomatic dialogue.
