Ukrenergo’s Supervisory Board has been renewed: who has been appointed
This was announced by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has approved the new composition of state representatives on the supervisory board of NPC “Ukrenergo”.
The state representatives include Yuriy Boyko, Yegor Perelygin and Mykola Brusenko.
The Ministry of Energy noted that all previously elected independent representatives retain their positions. Therefore, the composition of the supervisory board of NPC “Ukrenergo” is now complete.
What is known about Yuriy Boyko
Yuriy Boyko has over 25 years’ experience in senior management roles at private and state institutions in the energy sector.
He began his career in the energy sector in 1995 as an electrical engineer. He subsequently held senior positions at several energy companies.
At the end of 2020, Yuriy Boyko served as acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
He was already a member of the supervisory board of Ukrenergo for the period 2021–2025.
Who is Yegor Perelygin
Yegor Perelygin is the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
He has experience in senior management positions in the mining industry and the banking sector.
Perelygin specialises in attracting foreign investment, corporate restructuring, reorienting the business models of large industrial and commercial entities, strategic planning and crisis management.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the European Institute of Higher Education in Management (ISEG) in France.
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Yegor Perelygin as its authorised representative to the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
Mykola Brusenko’s experience
Mykola Brusenko holds a PhD in Economics.
He has over 20 years’ experience in economics, foreign trade, international relations, public administration, as well as the implementation of joint projects with international financial organisations in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Brusenko has progressed from the position of chief specialist at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine to senior roles in the Administration and Office of the President of Ukraine.
From 2022 to 2025, he headed the Economic Directorate at the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Brusenko also has experience in corporate governance on the supervisory board of the state-owned Oschadbank.
Mykola Brusenko holds a Master’s degree in Finance. He obtained his degree from the Kyiv National Economic University.
How the supervisory board is formed
The supervisory board of NPC “Ukrenergo” consists of seven members.
It comprises four independent members, selected through a competitive process, and three state representatives.
Following the approval of the new composition of state representatives, the full membership of the company’s supervisory board has been finalised.
What has changed for strategic state-owned enterprises
The government has simplified the selection procedure for supervisory boards of strategic state-owned enterprises.
In particular, a mechanism for the rapid selection and appointment of independent members and state representatives has been introduced. Energoatom, Ukrnafta and Naftogaz of Ukraine have already received their new supervisory boards.
