"Ukrzaliznytsia" addressed the passengers
Control at train stations in Ukraine will be strengthened due to the threat from the enemy. Passengers are asked to arrive in advance.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the chairman of "Ukrzaliznytsia" Oleksandr Peretsovsky.

"From various hostile sources, predatory threats are coming from propagandists – to stop the railway as the main artery of the country, to strike at our infrastructure. Allegedly in response. The truth is that these are not threats nor any response, but our daily reality for over 3 years," - emphasized the head of Ukrzaliznytsia.

According to him, the railway infrastructure of Ukraine has been attacked more than 3700 times. Of these crimes, classified as:

  • as sabotage or terrorist acts - about 300,
  • as violations of the laws and customs of war - over 400.

"Now the enemy has become especially insidious: we are finding on our tracks, one after another, special devices constructed to derail trains," - noted Peretsovsky.

The head of Ukrzaliznytsia announced that together with all involved services, appropriate measures will be taken to minimize these risks. Specifically, this includes:

  • training all railway workers on the line,
  • speed restrictions,
  • awarding employees for vigilance,
  • many additional technical and organizational measures, "which are not worth shouting about".

"First and foremost, be as vigilant as possible. About everything happening around – at stations, around the tracks, when you look out the window! Any suspicious actions, persons, objects – report immediately to railway staff nearby or law enforcement," - emphasized Peretsovsky.

Additionally, the head of Ukrzaliznytsia urged passengers to arrive at stations in advance, at least 20-30 minutes before the train departs.

"We will strengthen control measures at stations. No matter how much we want to open the doors of our stations wider, at the moment – the key is the safety of each and every one of those who trust us with their travel," - he noted.

Peretsovsky also called for planning trips so that travelers are prepared for certain delays and slowdowns, and not to schedule their connections minute by minute.
