Army+ has launched a new cyber hygiene course for military personnel
The Army+ app has launched a new training course, "Cyber Hygiene 2.0," aimed at developing basic yet critically important cybersecurity skills for daily service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The course is designed to help military personnel work safely in a digital environment and reduce the risks of information leaks, cyberattacks, and technical equipment infections. The training programme consists of 14 series and covers the rules for using smartphones and computers, working on the internet, social networks and messengers, password management, use of Wi-Fi, flash drives and service systems.
A separate section of the course is devoted to threats from adversaries. These include phishing attacks, viruses, botnets, DDoS attacks, internal cyber incidents, and algorithms for action in critical situations.
The training is based on practical cases and real-life scenarios. There are interim tests after each module and a final exam after the entire course. Successful completion is confirmed by a certificate of mastery of cyber hygiene knowledge and skills.
Lectures are conducted by officers of the Joint Centre for Information Protection and Cyber Security in Information and Telecommunications Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The training materials have been prepared in cooperation with the Main Directorate of Communications and Cyber Security of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The course is designed for all military personnel who work with digital devices and information on a daily basis, from enlisted personnel to unit commanders.
Currently, the Army+ app offers 19 training courses on tactics, battle planning, unmanned systems, communications, financial literacy, and other areas. In total, about 213,000 military personnel are undergoing training in the app, gaining practical knowledge for daily use in their units.
