Scheduled repairs have begun at nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Against this backdrop, following enemy shelling of energy infrastructure, part of the population in five regions remains without electricity.

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov during a briefing on the situation in the energy system.

On Tuesday, 10 March, due to hostile shelling of energy infrastructure, part of the population in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kharkiv regions remains without electricity.

According to Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov, where the security situation allows, energy workers are already working on restoration.

He noted that repair crews are doing everything possible to restore power as quickly as possible.

In some regions, hourly power cuts are expected during the evening peak consumption hours.

Also, during the day, some regions have power restriction schedules for businesses and industry.

It is separately noted that scheduled repairs have begun at nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

Up-to-date information on possible power supply restrictions is published on the official websites of regional distribution system operators.
