In March, the Supreme Court will continue to consider Poroshenko's lawsuit regarding NSDC sanctions
The Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court has postponed the hearing of the lawsuit filed by the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, regarding the sanctions imposed on him by the National Security and Defence Council until 6 March. The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., as reported by lawyer Ihor Golovan in a comment to Ukrinform.
The panel of judges has already finished reviewing the nine volumes of case materials and has moved on to the stage of closing arguments by the parties. During the hearing on 30 January, the court heard the arguments of the plaintiff's representatives, after which the defendant's side began its presentation, but it was not completed within the allotted time. In this regard, the court postponed the hearing until early March.
After the parties have finished their statements, the court plans to proceed to a decision in this case.
We will remind you that on 12 February, President Volodymyr Zelensky enacted the NSDC's decision to impose personal sanctions on a number of individuals. The relevant decree provides, in particular, for the freezing of assets, restrictions on trade operations, the suspension of transit through the territory of Ukraine, the prevention of capital flight abroad, and the deprivation of state awards. Among those subject to sanctions are Petro Poroshenko, Ihor Kolomoyskyi, Hennadiy Boholyubov, Kostyantyn Zhevago, and Viktor Medvedchuk.
