Sunday, 29 March, will treat Ukrainians to almost May-like warmth, although the sky will be overcast in some regions. Temperatures will rise to a pleasant 19°C, but residents of the western and southern regions would be wise to keep their umbrellas to hand

This has been reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre

Today, Ukraine will see variable cloud cover. Light rain is expected mainly in the western regions, as well as in Vinnytsia and Odesa regions. In the afternoon, precipitation may reach the eastern and south-eastern regions. The rest of the country will be dry and pleasant. In the Azov region, the morning will start with fog, so drivers should be particularly careful on the roads.

Temperatures will vary across the country. The highest temperatures — ranging from +14° to +19° — will be recorded in the central and southern regions. It will be slightly cooler in the west: +11…+16°, whilst in the Carpathians temperatures will range from +2…+7°. The wind will be moderate, blowing from the north-east at 5–10 m/s.

In Kyiv and the surrounding region, Sunday will be dry. The capital will warm up to +15…+17°, whilst in the region thermometers will reach +19°. This is the perfect time to relax outdoors before the start of the new working week. Despite the cloud cover, the spring sun is already having a noticeable effect on the atmosphere, bringing a real sense of warmth to every corner of the country.
