Yermak commented on reports of his father’s trip to Russia
Andriy Yermak, former Head of the President’s Office
Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President’s Office, has stated that he is unaware of any possible trip made by his father, Boris Yermak, to Russia in 2019. At the same time, he described the circulation of such information as part of a campaign against his family.

Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, neither confirmed nor denied reports that his father, Boris Yermak, had visited Russia in 2019.

He made this statement during a court hearing, responding to a journalist’s question regarding his father’s possible trip to St Petersburg.

“I don’t know. My father is 81 years old; he is a highly respected, honest and patriotic man. I am not aware of any trips he may have taken. Even if he did go, it is up to him to say so,” Yermak said.

He also expressed the view that such reports are part of a campaign against his family. According to the former head of the Presidential Office, at the same time, no mention is made of the fact that his brother is fighting against the Russian occupiers.

Yermak added that his father has lived in Kyiv all his life and loves Ukraine.

Earlier, journalists from the “Schemes” project reported that Boris Yermak, together with his wife, allegedly flew to St Petersburg in November 2019 via Minsk. The journalists cited data from a flight database.

The report noted that the trip may have taken place after Andriy Yermak was appointed as an aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

It is also reported that Andriy Yermak was recently charged in the ‘Dynasty’ case. According to the NABU and the SAPO, the case concerns alleged money laundering through the construction of luxury property in the village of Kozin near Kyiv.

The court imposed a preventive measure on him in the form of detention, with the possibility of bail set at 140 million hryvnias.
