31 Ukrainians returned from Belarus: the Coordination Headquarters revealed details
«We express our gratitude to the United States of America and President Donald Trump for their fruitful work in returning Ukrainian civilians and military personnel from the territory of Belarus and the Russian Federation,» the Coordination Headquarters stated.
The Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War confirmed the return of 31 Ukrainians from the territory of Belarus, where they were held under various sentences. This information is provided by ThePublic.info, citing an official statement from the Coordination Headquarters.
Among those released are both men and women. The sentences they received in Belarus ranged from 2 to 11 years of imprisonment. Some individuals have serious illnesses, including oncological conditions — they will receive full medical care and rehabilitation after their return.
The youngest of those released is 18 years old, the oldest is 58. They have already been met by medical professionals and psychologists in Ukraine.
The Coordination Headquarters separately thanked the United States of America and President Donald Trump for their assistance in returning Ukrainians home, as well as highlighted the cooperation of the government agencies involved in the process.
Earlier, Lukashenko's regime announced the pardon of 31 Ukrainians as part of agreements with the USA. Along with them, two Catholic priests were also released.
It is worth recalling that in September, the USA lifted sanctions on the airline "Belavia," after which Belarus released another 52 prisoners.
