Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has carried out heavy shelling and air strikes on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas. A total of 157 combat engagements have been recorded.

As of 08:00 on 7 May 2026, the 1,534th day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine is underway.

The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles and carried out 78 air strikes, dropping 256 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 9,317 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,696 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 67 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Air strikes were recorded, in particular, in the areas around the settlements of Tovstodubove and Holubivka in Sumy Oblast.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck nine areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, an artillery system and another key target.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out six air strikes using 17 guided bombs, conducted 69 shelling attacks – eight of which involved multiple launch rocket systems – and launched two assault operations.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, 17 attacks were recorded in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia and in the directions of Lypci, Lyman, Izbytske, Mala Vovcha, Symynivka, Zelenyi and Vilcha.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the directions of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka and in the areas of Borivska Andriivka, Radkivka, and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, 17 attacks were recorded in the areas of Nadiya, Stavky, and Yampil, as well as in the directions of Lyman, Novosergiivka, Ozerny, and Tverdokhlibove.

No assault operations were recorded in the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk sectors.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Ivanopil, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka and in the directions of Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Toretsk and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 29 assaults in the directions of Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Molodetske and Novyi Donbas.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, two attacks were recorded in the directions of Verbove and Novohryhorivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Zlagoda, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zeleny, Rybne, and in the directions of Hirky, Huliaipole, and Pryluky.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian units repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance in the area of Shcherbakiv.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy carried out two attacks in the directions of Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of offensive groupings being formed have been detected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered 890 casualties. Six armoured fighting vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defence systems, four ground-based robotic systems, 1,851 drones, 233 vehicles and two pieces of specialist equipment were also destroyed.
