Zelenskyy to meet with Meloni and have an audience with the Pope in Rome
The President has arrived in Italy, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and have an audience with Pope Leo XIV during the day.
President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Rome. The Office of the President confirmed that the trip's agenda includes an audience with Pope Leo XIV and a bilateral meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Zelenskyy has already arrived in the Italian capital, and the plan is to have an audience at the Vatican in the morning and then, after lunch, the president will hold talks with Meloni at government offices.
The visit is taking place against the backdrop of active diplomatic contacts between Ukraine and its European partners and expected decisions on support for Kyiv. It is expected that during the meetings, assistance to Ukraine, security and humanitarian issues, as well as cooperation between the states will be discussed.
