Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue with Israel regarding mutual support. This involves cooperation in the field of security in the face of shared threats.

In an interview with The Jerusalem Post, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and Israel have mutual security interests. According to him, each side can be of benefit to the other. This was reported by The Public.

He noted that the Israeli side had approached him regarding the possibility of talks, and expressed his readiness for such a dialogue.

“He has what I need, and I have what he needs. So I am ready for this dialogue,” said Zelenskyy, responding to a question about possible contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The President also addressed the citizens of Israel living under shelling. He expressed his hope that people would not lose their loved ones, especially children.

Separately, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine had already sent three groups of military experts to assist other countries with air defence matters. According to him, these specialists are providing advice on protection against attacks.

He emphasised that such assistance is purely defensive in nature.
