Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the next trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and Russia is to take place within 10 days, most likely again in Geneva. According to him, there is progress on issues related to monitoring the ceasefire and exchanging prisoners, while no progress has been made on Donbas.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced the agreement on a new meeting during an online chat with the media after meeting with the Ukrainian negotiating team. According to him, the conversation with the entire delegation lasted an hour and a half, during which they discussed in detail the two-day meetings with American partners and Russia.

The president stressed that the military subgroup had achieved constructive results. All three sides agreed that the Americans would be primarily responsible for monitoring the ceasefire. They will take the lead in this area. Zelensky called this an important result.

On the humanitarian track, he said, it is too early to talk about positive results, but there is progress. In the coming days, the parties must decide on the number, format and date of the next exchange of prisoners of war.

At the same time, no progress has been made on political issues, particularly regarding the territories in eastern Ukraine. "The issue of Donbas, the issue of territory. No constructive solution has been found here yet," he said.

The President thanked the American side and announced that the Ukrainian delegation's position for the next meeting would be worked out within two days and its mandate would be determined.

On 17–18 February, another round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, mediated by the US, took place in Geneva. After the main round, representatives of Ukraine and Russia held a separate closed meeting.

In a separate post on social media after the report, Zelensky noted that it is the format of the leaders' meeting that can resolve issues that cannot be settled at the team level. According to him, Ukraine is ready for such a format.
