During his visit to France, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. Following bilateral talks, the Ukrainian delegation will take part in the first meeting of the newly formed anti-ballistic coalition.
At the meeting, Ukraine’s Anti-Ballistic Programme will be presented to the partners. Participants will also discuss Ukraine’s defence against ballistic threats, industrial cooperation and the pooling of defence expertise among European states and companies.
Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will take part in the Coalition of the Willing summit, which will be co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. According to the Élysée Palace, at least 25 heads of state and government are expected to attend the meeting.
During the summit, the leaders plan to discuss further support for Ukraine, stepping up pressure on Russia – in particular by combating the Russian Federation’s shadow fleet – as well as security guarantees to achieve a lasting peace.
The visit comes on the eve of the military parade to mark Bastille Day, which will take place on 14 July in Paris. Twenty-five Ukrainian servicemen will take part in the parade, and the President of Ukraine will be present on the presidential tribune.
