The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a working meeting with the leadership of the Armed Forces, during which he received briefings on the situation at the front, the provision of supplies to the Ukrainian army and the implementation of agreements with international partners in the field of defence

The Head of State announced this on his social media accounts.

The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy; the Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces, Oleg Apostol; and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Volodymyr Horbatyuk.

They discussed the situation on several sections of the front line

According to the President, the main focus was on the situation in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk sectors. Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian units continue to repel the offensive actions of Russian troops and are preventing the enemy from carrying out its plans.

Separately, the meeting participants reviewed the situation in the Oleksandrivka sector, where units of the Airborne Assault Forces are carrying out combat missions.

Air defence and drones remain among the priorities

The meeting also discussed the implementation of agreements with international partners regarding the supply of defence aid. Among the key tasks, Zelenskyy cited the strengthening of the air defence system, as well as the fulfilment of contracts for the production of all types of unmanned aerial systems for the needs of the Defence Forces.

Summing up the meeting, the President emphasised that Ukraine must make the most of every day to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities and ensure the military is provided with the necessary resources in a timely manner.
