Zheleznyak announced Petrov’s new booking via ‘Korysne TV’: what is known
Zheleznyak spoke about the new registration and the allegations regarding Petrov’s assets in a video and in public comments, which were reported by the Ukrainian media on 13 April.
According to Zheleznyak, in mid-March 2026, Petrov allegedly received a new appointment as an employee of the “Korysne TV Broadcasting Company”. The MP claims that this is a media organisation whose YouTube content consists of gardening and vegetable-growing tips, yet which holds the status of a critically important enterprise. He also links this story to media manager Serhiy Sozanovsky and suggests there may be political connections surrounding this decision. There are currently no public documents in open sources that would independently confirm Petrov’s new appointment via “Korysne TV”.
A separate set of Zheleznyak’s statements concerns Petrov’s income and assets. The MP claims that Petrov’s official income for 2010–2025 does not match the value of his declared assets, which include property in Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as expensive cars. In these same statements, he speaks of possible schemes for generating income from media placements, campaign support and consultancy. At the same time, all these assessments are, at this stage, merely the MP’s position as set out in his investigation, and not a verdict or a fact established by a court.
What has already been independently confirmed is the earlier scandal regarding Petrov’s deferment. In January 2026, following Zheleznyak’s statements, it emerged that Petrov had indeed worked at the state institution “National Military Memorial Cemetery” and had been granted deferment from mobilisation there. Following the public outcry, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs initiated an internal investigation, and on 20 January, Petrov resigned from the institution of his own accord.
Furthermore, in January it emerged that the SBU had opened criminal proceedings against Petrov under the article on treason. This is a separate episode, unrelated to the current claims regarding income and the new deferment, but it demonstrates that the saga surrounding Petrov has long since gone beyond a single scandal involving a deferment from mobilisation. As for the Economic Security Bureau’s proceedings regarding taxes and a possible investigation, these are currently being publicly confirmed mainly through statements by Zheleznyak himself and their coverage in the media.
As a reminder, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the opening of criminal proceedings by the Bureau of Economic Security against blogger Zolkin. According to him, the cases concern possible tax evasion and money laundering.
